Job Title: Social Media Video Content Editor

About the Role

We’re a fast-growing creative and marketing agency based in Toronto, working with restaurants, nightlife brands, and lifestyle businesses. We create content that performs, not just content that looks good.

We’re looking for a full-time Social Media Content Editor in Ghana who understands how to edit for attention, retention, and engagement across platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

If you know how to turn raw footage into content people actually stop and watch, this is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Editing short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
  • Working with content from our cloud storage system (you’ll download, edit, and upload)
  • Cutting, pacing, and structuring videos to keep viewers engaged
  • Adding captions, effects, and transitions using CapCut
  • Following creative direction while also bringing your own ideas to improve content
  • Delivering edits consistently and on time

What We’re Looking For

Strong experience with CapCut or similar editing tools

  • Good understanding of social media trends and viral content
  • Ability to edit fast-paced, engaging short-form videos
  • Reliable internet connection for downloading and uploading content
  • Good communication and ability to follow direction

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Valuable)

  • Basic marketing knowledge or understanding of content performance
  • Experience with graphic design (Canva, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Previous experience editing for brands, restaurants, or lifestyle content
  • Ability to spot and use trending Afrobeats sounds before they get saturated
  • Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram trends, including hooks, pacing, and viral formats
  • Good eye for CapCut font pairings, text placement, and clean on-screen aesthetics
  • Ability to write engaging captions that match the video and drive interaction
  • Ability to take feedback and apply corrections quickly without repeating mistakes
  • Understanding of what makes content perform, not just look good
  • Creative instinct to turn basic footage into engaging, scroll-stopping content
  • Strong sense of timing, rhythm, and beat matching, especially with music-driven edits

Compensation

  • Starting at ₵2,000/month during a 1–3 month onboarding period
  • Editors who meet performance standards move up to ₵4,000+ per month after on-boarding period.
