About the Role
We are building a scalable travel booking platform. We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong Golang experience to design and build the core systems powering our platform. Strong experience with Amadeus Connect API is preferred. You will be responsible for building high-performance APIs, integrating third-party services, and ensuring system reliability at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using Golang
- Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs(Amadeus Connect Enterprise APIs)
- Develop systems for search, pricing, booking, and reservations
- Integrate with external APIs (travel providers, payment systems, etc.)
- Optimize performance and scalability of backend services
- Implement caching and queuing mechanisms
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure system reliability, fault tolerance, and monitoring
Requirements
- 4+ years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Golang
- Strong experience using GORM
- Solid understanding of API design and backend architecture
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with caching systems (Redis, Memcached)
- Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.)
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles (SOLID, clean architecture)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
Nice to Have
- Experience building high-scale or high-traffic systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with Elasticsearch or search systems
- Experience with event-driven architecture
- Background in travel, booking, or e-commerce platforms
