About The Role

Our client is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to independently design and develop modules for their product. As a Backend Engineer for our client, your responsibilities will include backend development and design of the software architecture together with other software developers. You will be required to closely collaborate with other members of the product and engineering team, while contributing to the maintenance of legacy software.

About You

• Understand and analyze product requirements and communicate with product team
• Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Develop and support software modules including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements, with a bias for documentation
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
• Participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to manage critical deliverables
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Engage in production releases, support test and deployment of new products and features.

What We Expect

• You have extensive experience in developing complex software systems for mobile apps backend environments.
• Working proficiency to fluency in Python. We employ Django to build out our robust API.
• Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM) and writing SQL queries
• Experience collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience.
• We look for developers that can “build and run” services. Therefore, you will be comfortable with dockerising your code, defining standard REST endpoints, adding monitoring, and alerting for your services.

• A knack for developing ideas for improvements, new programs, products, and features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
• Our application logic mostly involves interacting with blockchains such as Binance Smart Chain and Terra, and DeFi protocols like Anchor. We suggest that you have good understanding of how staking, yield farming and interacting with smart contracts works.
