Job Description
The School is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Developer to evaluate, design, implement, and maintain the school’s core information systems; primarily, Toddle, Manage Bac, iSAMS, Open Apply, and Sage Accounting. The post holder will use BI tools to produce and interpret data from these core systems and provide the primary desktop and software- related technical support for problem resolution. The post-holder will also support all general IT-related needs of the school, which includes maintaining in-house technology equipment and assets.
Required Skills or Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and abilities.
Education & Certification
University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Oracle or SQL certification (preferred).
BI/Data Analytics certifications (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Apache Spark) are a plus.
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Apple Certified Technician (advantageous).
Key Knowledge, Experience & Abilities
Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a developer.
Hands-on experience with data visualization and BI tools, including Power BI, Tableau,R, Python, RapidMiner, KNIME, QlikView, Apache Spark, Talend, Splunk, and Excel, to analyze, interpret, and present complex data insights effectively.
Knowledge and experience in using programming languages like SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, and Python.
Technical proficiency in database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.
Experience in handling reporting packages like business objects, programming (JavaScript, XML, or ETL frameworks), and databases.
Hands-on experience and skills in web development and API integration covering HTML/CSS3, PHP, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, jQuery, C#, SQL, and Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and system integration.
