Leti Arts is on the lookout for a passionate, creative, and self-driven Game Designer (Generalist) to join our growing team! As pioneers of African digital storytelling in games and comics, we are building immersive and culturally-rich experiences that resonate globally.
We’re looking for someone who understands game systems and mechanics and has a strong sense of narrative, user experience, and player engagement. If you’re someone who loves designing games from concept to completion and can collaborate across teams, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and design engaging game mechanics, systems, levels, and interactive experiences.
- Create design documents, wireframes, and gameplay prototypes.
- Collaborate closely with artists, developers, and writers to ensure cohesive execution of game concepts.
- Balance and tweak gameplay to ensure an optimal user experience.
- Research trends in games and gameplay mechanics, specially in African and global markets.
- Contribute creatively to the ideation and development of new projects.
Eligibility & Requirements
We are looking for a Generalist Game Designer with the following qualifications:
- • Solid understanding of game mechanics, level design, and player psychology.
- • Experience using game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
- • Familiarity with game development pipelines and agile processes.
- • Strong documentation and communication skills.
- • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- • Passion for storytelling, African culture, or comic/game fusion is a big plus!
