Reporting to the Engineering Director, this role owns the end-to-end technical direction, drives architectural decisions, sets engineering standards, and mentors a team of developers. The Tech Lead works closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to shape scope, plan releases, and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery. This is a onsite role based in Ghana (Accra preferred), with occasional in-person collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What You\u2019ll Do:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Own the end-to-end technical direction across web, mobile, and backend platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive pragmatic architectural decisions around modular monolith vs. microservices, including defining service boundaries, integration patterns, and consistency tradeoffs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to create clear domain boundaries, bounded contexts,aggregates, and domain events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set and enforce high standards for code quality, testing, API contracts, and documentation across the engineering team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partner closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, break epics into deliverable slices, and estimate work realistically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan sprints and releases, manage dependencies and risks, and balance product speed with technical sustainability (tech debt, refactors, platform work).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead and mentor engineers through pair programming, design reviews, code reviews, and coaching.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build a strong engineering culture centred on ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support hiring and onboarding processes as the team grows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead development of high-quality user experiences on web (React\/Next.js) and mobile (React Native), guiding choices around state management, performance, and component architecture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure UI quality standards including responsive design, accessibility (web), and polished mobile UX (navigation, device differences).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Own backend design and implementation in .NET Core, including API design, security fundamentals, and resilient patterns (retries\/timeouts, idempotency, background processing).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive database design and performance optimisation, including schema design, migrations,indexing, and query tuning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establish observability foundations to monitor system health and performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>* Provide engineering input into prioritisation, timelines, and technical tradeoffs during product planning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What You\u2019ll Bring:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong full-stack experience shipping production products across frontend, backend, and mobile platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior experience as a senior engineer or tech lead with clear ownership of delivery and a proven track record of mentorship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong system design skills with the ability to clearly articulate architectural tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Demonstrated architectural competence in:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Domain-Driven Design (DDD) \u2014 practical application in real-world projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Modular monolith design \u2014 clear boundaries and dependency discipline<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. Microservices understanding \u2014 when and how to split, data ownership, and failure modes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Solid database fundamentals, including relational DB design, migrations, and performance tuning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong collaboration skills with experience working effectively with Product Owners and Project Managers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in modern engineering tools and practices, including version control, CI\/CD, and testing frameworks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a master&#8217;s degree is a plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluency in English; proficiency in local Ghanaian languages is an advantage but not required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who You Are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A hands-on, pragmatic engineering leader who enjoys diving into code while guiding the bigger able to see the big picture and set strategic technical priorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An excellent communicator and motivator who can engage and inspire engineers across different experience levels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Highly organised, resilient, and comfortable managing competing demands in a fast-growing, high-performance environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrity-driven and committed to
