Role Purpose <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role is responsible for analyzing, designing, planning, optimization and governing the implementation of cost-effective On-Prem and Cloud IT Infrastructure solutions. Create, Maintain, Simplify and ensure Scalability, Security, Reliability, as well as cost\u2011efficient IT Infrastructure estate across data centers, cloud platforms, networks, storage, servers and related systems for Telecel Ghana in line with Telecel Group long term goals and strategy.


Key Responsibilities <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Architecting and designing highly available IT Network and Infrastructure solutions covering computer, storage, network, virtualization, security controls, and cloud services to meet standards as required by the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u2022Support the IT team to review Network and software design to confirm compliance with architecture principles, specifications, lead design discussions, present ideas to stakeholders and assess emerging infrastructure technologies and recommend adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u2022Define and enforce IT Infrastructure architecture standards and policies. Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and operational requirements. Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance\/approvals within governance processes to project team members (consultancy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u2022Set targets for success and carry out on-going risk analysis. Identify and manage risks to success and escalate accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u2022Analyze capacity trends and recommend appropriate infrastructure scaling strategies. Also support performance optimization, availability planning, lifecycle management, and develop disaster recovery and high availability strategies<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Excellent knowledge of telecommunication networks and cloud technologies<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u2022Demonstrated extensive Network and Architecture design management experience in large and complex environments<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u2022Professional qualifications in a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience; Networking technologies (LAN\/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, load balancers) Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP\u2014depending on org) Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) Operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), Identity and access management<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u2022Knowledge in Infrastructure automation & DevOps (Terraform, Ansible, CI\/CD pipelines), Disaster recovery, backup, and high availability architecture and skill set experience for example.

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Must have Technical \/ Professional Qualifications <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022BSc. Computer Science, Electrical\/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent.
\u2022Masters in related discipline is a plus.
\u20225years\u2019+ experience in the IT Network and Infrastructure architectures in a telecom or comparative enterprise grade environment
\u2022Cisco Certifications (CCNA \/ CCNP Enterprise)
\u2022Data & AI Certifications
\u2022Security Certifications (CISSP\/CompTIA Security+)
\u2022Skilled in AWS, GCP, Azure and OCI a must.
\u2022TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture)
\u2022Cloud certification
