We\u2019re looking for an experienced\u00a0Design Lead<\/strong>\u00a0to supercharge our design team. You\u2019ll help shape how design operates across the organization bringing structure, clarity, and momentum while still rolling up your sleeves to create beautiful, high-impact work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll partner closely with our Creative Lead, owning team operations, process, and communication, while contributing directly to product and brand execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re a well-rounded team: half of us are tech whizzes, while the other half excel in building partnerships with data providers, developers, and the DeFi community. Communication is key to our network-driven approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remote Work:<\/strong> Our team is spread across the globe, from the US and South America to Europe and Asia, with an optional office in Porto, Portugal, and Singapore. Remote work is the norm here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Language Proficiency:<\/strong> English proficiency is essential, as it\u2019s our primary language of communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Startup-level speed:<\/strong> We thrive in the dynamic DeFi space and love adaptable problem solvers who are eager to meet the evolving needs of the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lead & Scale the Design Function<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Manage day-to-day design operations and team coordination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Build and optimize processes for handling inbound requests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Scope project requirements and allocate team bandwidth effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Navigate uncertainty and translate business needs into clear design priorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Drive team structure, resourcing strategy, and future hiring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Lead interviews and help scale the design organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Manage relationships with agencies, contractors, and external vendors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Represent the design team across the organization\u2014setting expectations, timelines, and navigating trade-offs when bandwidth is constrained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Contribute Hands-On to Design Execution<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Create and refine high-quality product, marketing, or web design deliverables.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Organize and maintain Figma files, shared libraries, and system structures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Ensure design work is accessible, scalable, and easy to collaborate on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Bring strong aesthetic judgment across typography, color, composition, and layout.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Contribute ideas for visual assets and execute them to a high standard.

      ___We Expect You to Bring<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Proven experience leading or managing designers in a growing organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on creative execution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Strong communication skills and confidence presenting design rationale to stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Experience creating clarity in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • A structured, systems-oriented mindset someone who brings order to chaos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • A sharp eye for detail and visual excellence.
        ___Desired Skills and Experience<\/strong>
        • 5+ years of experience in product, brand, or digital design.<\/li>
        • Experience managing or mentoring designers.<\/li>
        • Strong operational thinking around design workflows and bandwidth planning.<\/li>
        • Advanced Figma proficiency: organizing libraries, maintaining structure, systematizing assets, and enabling collaboration.<\/li>
        • Strong visual design fundamentals: typography, spacing, composition, and color theory.<\/li>
        • Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership teams.

          • Experience scaling design teams in startup or high-growth environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Background in building or maintaining design systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

          • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
