This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on accounting and payroll contributions while also offering valuable ad hoc tactical support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accounting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and payroll\/benefits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reconcile accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in the preparation of tax filings and audits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Payroll &amp; Benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage the processing of bi-monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and benefits record, reconcile payroll accounts, and prepare necessary journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Compliance Support:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage communication with taxing and other regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submission of required documentation and payments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional Responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller and CFO.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial and payroll processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or Finance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a senior role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with business compliance requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience managing small to mid-sized ad hoc projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and payroll systems (e.g., Paycom).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance, and payroll\/benefits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to multi-task tactical management and accounting\/payroll responsibilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consistent access to a reasonably distraction free home work space, with reliable access to high-speed internet and use of a smart phone\/mobile device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Competitive salary based on experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health, dental, and vision insurance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>401(k) retirement plan with company match<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paid time off, volunteer time off, and holidays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fully remote<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All Bonfire employees are expected to embrace our Mission and Values.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":2234,"template":"","recruiter-features":[],"job-types":[13],"tjig-job-categories":[5,75,10],"class_list":["post-2233","tjig-jobs","type-tjig-jobs","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-types-remote","tjig-job-categories-data-analysts","tjig-job-categories-project-management","tjig-job-categories-tech-support"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v24.8 (Yoast SEO v25.9) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Senior Accountant | Tech Jobs In Ghana<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"SUMMARY The Job Title is Senior Accountant.
