The specialist further contributes to other infrastructure systems, such as network, server, and workstation support, resource management, and disaster recovery as needed. At this career level, the incumbent generally works independently on moderately complex system administration projects or as a team member on larger projects. He or she may coach other administrators or support technicians.<br><br><strong>Essential Job Functions<br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion\u2019s ministry in prayer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ\u2019s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion\u2019s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion\u2019s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configures, installs, maintains, upgrades, and writes basic scripts to manage computer systems hardware and software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitors and maintains security of all operating systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance standards on dedicated systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Restores files or systems by conducting regular backup procedures. Compiles and updates procedural documentation as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides operational support for the organization&#8217;s information systems and peripheral equipment, such as application servers, database servers, web servers, desktops, printers and storage devices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resolves technical escalations demonstrating good communication and proficient troubleshooting skills. May engage external vendor support as needed and approved by more senior team members or managers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrates increases in systems capacity in a timely manner to ensure adequate availability of resources with minimal end-user disruption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implements performance improvements and growth of IT network infrastructure and IT network systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>May provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the system administration and support technician disciplines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicates globally impacting support issues and resolution status to global counterparts and leadership. May lead global support issue resolution efforts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>May lead projects to evaluate and deploy new technology solutions to all global Compassion staff, including key stakeholder identification, communication and project plan development and execution, and associated project closure tasks.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p Technology or 2 years IT Systems Administration experience.<br><br>Work Experience<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 years experience Windows desktop OS support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 years experience macOS support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 years experience Windows Server support and administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 years experience on premise or Azure Active Directory administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 years experience VMWare vSphere administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 years experience Microsoft RDS or Citrix administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 years experience NFS \/ cloud file storage administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 years experience MS Office 365 and\/or MS Exchange on-premise administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 years experience collaboration tools support (Teams, Zoom, Slack, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 years experience email security \/ SPAM filter platform<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 years experience RMM \/ vulnerability remediation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 year experience Mobile Device Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 years experience Corporate anti-virus support and administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 years experience disaster recovery implementation and administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 year experience scripting \/ automation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Google Workspace administration experience a plus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generative AI experience a
