They are expected to manage the team dynamics and always bring the best in everyone. A team leader is not expected to be the best in a team but rather help others become the best version there is and gear the team towards optimised execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-key-responsibilities\">Key Responsibilities<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30% of the time spent doing management work. Outside of that actively participates in product development in their team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be involved in hiring processes for their own team and potentially help out their peers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition to being involved in hiring, also being responsible for the onboarding process of new engineers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By being the spokesperson for everyone in their team they are expected to manage the team dynamics and bring out the best in them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Giving continuous and constructive feedback on all the things.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Helps the team to grow continuously as a group and is responsible for each direct report\u2019s career.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide guidance and coaching to the team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-requirements\">Requirements<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extensive experience with Backend (Elixir\/Phoenix).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to promoting all of Remote&#8217;s values within the team and the greater organisation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid knowledge of engineering and development principles and best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focused on efficient processes with a kind, people-first approach.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Being able to inspire others and instill confidence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good understand of team dynamics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ambitious and intentional about diversity, equality and inclusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-practicals\"><strong>Practicals<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>You&#8217;ll report to:<\/strong>\u00a0Engineering Manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Direct reports:<\/strong>\u00a02-5 Engineers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Team:<\/strong>\u00a0Engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Location<\/strong>: Anywhere in the world<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Start date:<\/strong>\u00a0As soon as possible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":1939,"template":"","recruiter-features":[],"job-types":[13],"tjig-job-categories":[4],"class_list":["post-1941","tjig-jobs","type-tjig-jobs","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-types-remote","tjig-job-categories-back-end-developers"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.9 (Yoast SEO v27.9) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-premium-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Engineering Team Leader | Tech Jobs In Ghana<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"The Position A Team Leader is responsible for all the work of a team and the spokesperson for everyone in it.
