The Role & National Service Year

We are hiring ambitious, high-potential recent university graduates eligible for or currently beginning their National Service Scheme (NSS) year in Ghana to join our core engineering team as Full Stack Engineers.

At SAI Technology, an NSS role is not an internship where you get stuck doing busywork or watching from the sidelines. You will be a full-fledged member of our product engineering team. You will write code that gets deployed to production, design APIs, build responsive interfaces, integrate database schemas, instrument observability, and leverage AI engineering tools across our platform portfolio.

For high performers, this role offers a direct track to a permanent full-time engineering role at SAI Technology following the completion of your service year.

What You Will Build & Own

• Full-Stack Feature Development: Build modern, responsive web applications and backend services across our products (Transveo, Operon, Swift Transport, Casa360, and client systems).
• APIs & Data Architecture: Design clean, type-safe REST and GraphQL/RPC APIs, write database migrations (PostgreSQL, Supabase), and maintain solid data validation.
• Frontend Systems: Implement pixel-perfect, accessible, and fast user interfaces using React, Next.js, Astro, and Tailwind CSS.
• AI-Native Workflows: Integrate LLMs, structured document extraction, automated workflows, and agentic tools into production software.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure mission-critical systems run reliably with zero downtime.
• Operational Discipline: Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerization, staging validations, and production deployments.

Qui êtes-vous

• You are an NSS personnel (recent university graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrably self-taught).
• You have built and shipped software before — whether personal projects, open-source contributions, hackathon builds, or previous internships.
• You understand core computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, HTTP, REST, asynchronous programming, and relational database concepts.
• You are comfortable working with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend framework or database.
• You have an obsessive attention to detail, code hygiene, and user experience.
• You are a self-starter who knows how to unblock yourself, read documentation, leverage modern AI developer tools, and learn rapidly.
• You communicate clearly and take pride in owning problems from diagnosis to deployment.

You don’t need to be an expert in all of these on day one, but you should be eager to master them:

• Languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, Python
• Frontend: React, Next.js, Astro, Tailwind CSS, HTML5/CSS3
• Backend & APIs: Node.js, Express, NestJS, Supabase, RESTful APIs
• Databases & Cache: PostgreSQL, Redis, Supabase Postgres
• DevOps & Cloud: Docker, GitHub Actions, Linux, Coolify, Vercel
• AI & Automation: Modern LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini), structured output pipelines, automation workflows
