Job Summary

Key Tasks:
Strategic & Commercial Insight
- Provide advanced analytics insights to guide strategic decision‑making across all digital products, platforms, and services.
- Deliver deep‑dive analysis on user behaviour, engagement, retention, conversion funnels, and transaction performance to identify growth and revenue opportunities.
- Provide prescriptive recommendations to optimise investment decisions, pricing strategies, cost management, and overall digital profitability.
- Support prioritisation and resource allocation for digital product development, feature enhancements, and customer journey improvements through data‑driven insights.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Develop, automate, and maintain executive‑level dashboards and commercial performance reports covering digital KPIs, revenue drivers, subscriber growth, customer lifetime value, and campaign effectiveness.
- Track, analyse, and report on digital performance trends to ensure clear visibility of business outcomes and value creation.
- Lead the Digital Division’s financial reporting processes, including monthly business reviews, performance forecasting, and variance analysis against approved budgets.
Planning, Forecasting & Financial Management
- Drive the development and submission of annual business plans, digital revenue targets, financial projections, and OPEX/CAPEX budgets for the Digital Division.
- Ensure alignment between digital performance analytics, financial forecasts, and strategic business objectives.
Operational Excellence & Data Governance
- Collaborate closely with IT Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all digital reporting.
- Establish and maintain reporting standards, definitions, and best practices to improve enterprise‑wide visibility of digital performance metrics.
- Continuously evaluate analytics tools, platforms, and methodologies to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and depth of insight.
Capability Enablement & Knowledge Transfer
- Act as a trusted subject‑matter expert, providing ongoing guidance on the effective interpretation and use of digital analytics and insights.
Data Governance, Risk & Compliance Perspective
- Ensure compliance with MTN data governance, information security, and privacy standards across all digital analytics and reporting activities.
- Support data quality, integrity, and single‑source‑of‑truth principles by enforcing standard definitions, metrics, and reporting controls.
- Identify and proactively flag data‑related risks, inconsistencies, or control gaps that could impact decision‑making, financial reporting, or regulatory compliance.
Innovation & Advanced Analytics Perspective
- Explore emerging analytics techniques, advanced metrics, and innovative use cases (e.g. experimentation analysis, cohort profiling, predictive indicators) to enhance digital performance insights.
- Contribute to evolving analytics practices that support digital innovation, personalisation, and monetisation initiatives.
- Actively scan industry and digital analytics trends to recommend improvements that keep MTN competitive and future‑ready.
Stakeholder Experience & Insight Adoption Perspective
- Improve analytics adoption and usage by tailoring insights, dashboards, and reporting outputs to different stakeholder needs and decision contexts.
- Simplify complex analytics outputs to improve understanding, trust, and confidence in data‑driven decisions across the organisation.
Education
- A Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science or a business-related field.
- Data Science certification
- Experienced user of Power BI, Python and AI Tools
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience in a digital organization or the digital/analytics department of an organization, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
- Experience with Financial Reporting is a plus
