The words “tech job” still scare off a lot of talented people.

The assumption is: if you didn’t study Computer Science or know how to code like an Engineering genius you have no shot.

That’s not true.

The tech world is bigger than just developers and data scientists. In fact, many of the roles that power top tech companies today are non-coding roles. According to multiple reports and insider data, the estimate is that only about 30–35% of Google’s workforce are in technical roles

If you’re smart, organized, curious, and willing to learn, you can break into tech.

Here are 5 in-demand tech roles that don’t require a Computer Science degree:

1. Product Manager (PM)

PMs are the bridge between the users, the business, and the engineering team. You’ll define what gets built, prioritize features, and work closely with designers and developers to bring it to life.

PMs just don’t build the product, they own the vision for it.

🎓 Degree Required? Nope. But a Product Management course helps.

2. UX/UI Designer

This is for the creative minds who like to make digital experiences smooth, simple, and beautiful.

UX Designers focus on how things work. UI Designers focus on how things look. Either way, you don’t need a Computer Science degree, just a good eye and empathy for users. Visual appeal has become a key ingredient in any successful app.
